That is all.

I found my outfit for the wedding

As in Pat's wedding in May.
I'm going to look lovely, don't you agree? Kudos to Liz for the idea, my hours (days) of searching are now over.

I'm just going to make up something about being allergic to daylight, trying out a new religion, doing some top-secret research for work, or maybe I'll just pretend I think it looks cute.

It's a good thing I have a cute baby, because that's about it that's cute around this house. At least one of us can wear a bathing suit in the near future. Want to see his new suit? Seeing as he won't sit still anymore and he does a great job of imitating a baby who can crawl, I don't have a very good picture.

It's cute right? He also got a zillion things at the outlet mall, it's really a good thing I don't have a daughter.

And this is him being big-boy in his Old Navy shirt. And giving me the stink eye.

Charlotte: What kind of diet book are you looking for?

Miranda: I don't know. Something with a title like How to Lose That Baby Fat by Sitting On Your Ass

We went to the park

And well, it was better than some things I've attempted with this kid. He ate grass. Sat on the slide. Didn't throw a fit. A success, I'd say.

Is it Monday yet?

I know, who asks that? Me, because Bart comes home on Monday, which will mark the end of his ELEVEN day trip to Seattle. It's operation don't-kill-yourself in the meantime, as 11 days alone with a baby who is clingy and needy and getting MOLARS is really a lot, people. The good news? It's Thursday. And, he does come home Monday morning (especially if I call him at 4am and wake him up and ask him if his shit is packed and if he's waiting outside Jon's car door, ready to go), so that's good news, right? In the meantime, it's me and that baby, who, is totally hilarious. All he does is try and open cabinets and squint at me and yell mamamammamamamamamama.

I have proof.
See? And this is him being semi cute.

And being BAD.
And more squinty face.

That is all for now. Let's hope I make it to Monday.

I'm becoming a lame blogger

I don't post as much anymore. It's partly because I don't have much free time (the "little burrito" is now a giant, crazy monkey who is busy, busy, busy), but also because I don't have many updates! He's funny, but he always has been. He's cute, but he's always been that too. He does new things, but really they're only exciting to me! Like he rolls over onto his belly in his crib every morning. It's hilarious, but most people would be like, uh, that's...cool. He makes this funny new face where he like tries to wink and he smiles huge. It's so funny! But again, most people would probably be like uh, why is he doing that?

Don't believe me? Look:
He does say mamamamamama though. Which I do love, but it gets very annoying. Guess what I get to do this weekend? Go to Seattle to see Bart (who is playing the job of absent-ee husband. No really, he's working at the boat show)! Without a baby!!! I am so excited I could die. But I know I'm going to get there and be like, ok, why didn't I bring Baron? :(

The Ducks lost

And it sucked. But the Jets won! Which means they play next weekend, and now have to beat the horrible Steelers. The best part is, I'll be in Seattle for the game-- an entire weekend to myself! Nana and pop have graciously offered to watch Baron (well, more nana than pop I'm sure) for two nights. I have no idea what I'm going to do with two nights to myself, but I know I won't have a hard time figuring it out.

Baron is still hilarious. He says mamama like crazy, and babababa. Working on dada, but it's probably next. He's 10 months old tomorrow!! His favorite thing ever is his walker, and he's starting to actually like people other than mom, dad and nana. We booked our tickets to Pat and Katie's wedding in May, so we officially get to dread a day of flying with a 14 month old. Except we're flying first class, so how bad can it be?!!

GO Ducks!

Haven't posted much for a few reasons. 1) B was sick, and you don't need to hear about snot, coughs, and cranky babies. 2) I've had no new pictures (for reasons just mentioned) 3) Bart has been gone, and I haven't even had time to make vodka cocktails let alone post anything. But baby is better, daddy is on his way home, and the Ducks play today!!! And in honor of it, we've outfitted Baron appropriately.

Let's see. Back on expensive formula. No more switching, this kid will officially break the bank for the full year and then he's onto bigger and better things, like (hopefully) whole milk. He loves toast and feeding himself. He now says "bahbahbahbah" like a crazy maniac. He's funny as usual. Huge. Loves his crib. And a professional nap taker!! Of all phases with this kid, napping for 2.5 hours twice a day is my favorite.

Back from the brinks

That poor little toad. He spent the last four, five (I can't even remember) days being so sick. Coughing, fountain nose, miserable. Yesterday he seemed to turn the corner though, and he got happy. Squealing. Demanding things. Funny. Wanting to stand, stand, stand. So I'm guessing he's getting better? Poor thing though, it was awful. It only took 3 calls to the on-call doctor, and 1 real life visit. All to tell me, it's a cold, he's fine. Well he seems pissed off-ish to me. And hacking. And I am not about to wake up and go in his room and find a real problem, people-- so I will continue to call.

No pictures because of sick baby. I tried yesterday, and he became a pill and got mad. Sorry little dude, it's just a camera. At least he's sleeping in his crib like a champ.
